Pathologist with Molecular Pathology Focus

We are currently recruiting for a client in need of a Pathologist with a specialization in molecular pathology. This role involves general diagnostic activities, including participation in rapid on-site evaluations and on-call duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the macroscopic and microscopic examination of biopsies and surgical specimens, training and supervising assistant physicians, and contributing to the development of a molecular pathology laboratory project.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct general diagnostic activities, participate in rapid on-site evaluations, and handle on-call duties.
- Manage both macroscopic and microscopic examinations of biopsies and surgical specimens.
- Train and supervise assistant physicians.
- Prepare for various multidisciplinary tumor boards and internal and external colloquia.
- Contribute to the development of a molecular pathology laboratory project.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a federal medical degree and a FMH specialization in pathology with a subspecialty in molecular pathology, or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized by MEBEKO.
- Strong background in surgical pathology.
- Detail-oriented, precise, reliable, and responsible with a strong personal commitment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent adaptability and integration skills with a good team spirit.
- Proficiency in French (minimum B2 level in both written and oral communication).
